The fireplace in the living room contains a bioethanol burner.  Bioethanol is a clean burning, eco-friendly fuel and does not need to exhaust through a chimney, so please do not open the chimney damper when using the fireplace. 

The burner contains enough bioethanol fuel to burn for 7hrs to 12 hrs depending on the size of the flame.  The flame size can be controlled by adjusting the position of the burner lid.  Any changes to the lid position should be made with the lighting rod to avoid getting burnt. 

At the beginning of your stay, the burner is filled with complimentary fuel. If you require additional fuel, the burner can be refilled at a cost of $40, for an additional 7hrs to 12hrs burning time.  This covers our true cost for the fuel with no markup. Don't hesitate to reach out if you would like a refill.
